Legal basis

As part of adjusting the Polish law to the acquis communautaire of the European Union, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland adopted on 29 November 2000 an act on the collection and use of accountancy data from agricultural holdings  (Journal of Laws no. 3, item 20).

This was the first of the so-called union acts adopted.

The act provides specifically for, among others, the tasks of the central tier of the Polish FADN, comprising the National Committee and the Liaison Agency.

The act entered into force on the date when Poland became a Member State of the European Union.
