On September 24–25, 2025, a conference entitled “Agricultural Accounting Forum” was held at the Monet Rubens Hotel in Łysomice, devoted to issues of broadly understood accounting in agricultural holdings, using available tools, appropriate methodological bases, and the latest trends, including the concept of Agriculture 4.0. The event was organized by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Agricultural Advisory Center in Minikowo.
The event was attended by, among others, representatives of the Polish FSDN from the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute (IAFE-NRI) – Katarzyna Kambo, Beata Malanowska, and FSDN Auditor Paweł Kaźmierczak. Beata Malanowska and Katarzyna Kambo presented the topic of the transformation of the FADN into the FSDN, directions for development, and strengthening the role of the system. This gave participants the opportunity to learn about the functioning of the Polish FSDN – Farm Sustainability Data Network, its importance, and the possibilities of using the collected information to improve the competitiveness of farms.
It was emphasized that the FSDN network is based on the principles of voluntariness and confidentiality, and the data collected covers three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, environmental, and social.
The conference also presented the economic situation of individual farms in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, the “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Agricultural Price Quotes” portal, the application of technological innovations within Agriculture 4.0 in farm management, as well as the premium for young farmers as an instrument supporting generational exchange and farm income stabilization. The Farm Economic Assessment Tool (NOE) was also presented as an example of the use of simplified accounting in farm management.
The Agricultural Accounting Forum will be held regularly, and its aim is to support the development of Polish agriculture. The event created a space for the exchange of experiences and discussion on the future of agricultural accounting in Poland, and participants emphasized the need for further development of tools supporting farm management.
