Training for Polish FSDN advisors in Paprotnia

From 9 to 10 April 2026 in Paprotnia (Masovian Voivodeship), the first this year training for agricultural advisors carrying out tasks within the Polish FSDN was held. The event was attended by representatives of five voivodeship Agricultural Advisory Centres: Lublin, Podlaskie, Lubuskie, West Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian.

The training was organized by  the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department of Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute (IAFE-NRI), acting as the Polish FSDN Liaison Agency, and was devoted to the functioning of the FSDN system in the first year of data collection and further directions of its development.

The substantive part of the meeting was led by representatives of the Department. Jarosław Sidor, FSDN Auditor, presented a summary of the experience so far related to data collection in the system, indicating the most important challenges and areas requiring further improvement. Wojciech Oryszczak discussed the process of transformation of the FSDN IT system, Monika Juchniewicz presented potential directions for further development of the Polish FSDN, with particular emphasis on the possibility of integrating data with external sources. Zbigniew Floriańczyk, Head of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department of the IAFE-NRI, also presented the information and promotional activities of the Polish FSDN carried out in the context of the ongoing transformation of the system.

During the training, the following were discussed in particular:

  • experience from the first year of operation of the FSDN system,
  • the process of transformation of FADN into FSDN and related organizational changes,
  • new solutions in the field of data collection and integration,
  • activities supporting the development and dissemination of the Polish FSDN.

The training was an important element of substantive support for agricultural advisors carrying out tasks within the Polish FSDN and was an opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss current problems and further improve the system in the process of its development.
