On 1 August 2025, The Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute held a scientific seminar (in a hybrid format) on the transformation of the FADN system into the FSDN and new possibilities for analysing farm performance.
The seminar was led by Dr Zbigniew FloriaÅ„czyk, Head of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department. In his presentation, he provided a detailed overview of the process of transforming the FADN system into the FSDN system in line with the development of the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy.
As an integral part of the EU system, the Polish FSDN is the only harmonised source of agricultural holding data, which is used to monitor performance across the European Union, among other things. The FSDN enables comprehensive analysis of agricultural holdings, providing a solid basis for assessing sustainable agricultural development and effective policy-making.
The presentation was followed by a discussion during which participants shared their insights and asked questions about the topics discussed.
