01/06/2026On 30–31 May 2026, the 34th Agricultural and Horticultural Fair took place in Kościerzyn, organised by the Kościerzyn Branch of the Łódzkie Agricultural Advisory Centre (ŁODR). The fair is an annual event which brings together farmers, horticulturists, entrepreneurs, representatives of sectoral institutions, and individuals interested in modern agriculture and rural development. It is one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in the region.
This year’s edition coincided with the International Potato Day. The Sieradz region, where the ŁODR Kościerzyn Branch operates, is an important potato production area in the Łódzkie region, therefore the importance of this crop to local agriculture was emphasised during the event.
The event was attended by Wanda Nowak, representing the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department at IAFE–NRI and an FSDN Auditor. At the ŁODR stand, she conducted information and promotional activities related to farm accountancy within the Polish FSDN system. During discussions with participants, she presented the benefits of participating in the system and emphasised the importance of collecting farm data. Particular attention was given to cooperation between farmers and advisors to support the correct maintenance of farm records.
The Kościerzyn Fair attracted numerous farmers, advisors, representatives of agricultural institutions, and members of the local community. It provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experience and promote knowledge of sustainable agriculture.
