On 16-17 October 2025, significant events related to the functioning of the Farm Sustainability Data Network (FSDN) were held at the European Commission in Brussels.
On the first day, a meeting of the FSDN Expert Group took place, organised by the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI. A.2). Topics discussed included the conversion of the FADN system into the FSDN and the progress of this process in Member States. The meeting was held in a hybrid format and brought together representatives of all FSDN Liaison Agencies.
The next day, a solemn conference was held summarizing 60 years of FADN/FSDN in the European Union under the theme “From accountancy to sustainability: 60 Years of Farm Data”.
The event was attended by representatives of the Liaison Agencies, international and national organisations cooperating with FADN/FSDN and farmers who keep accounts within the system. Poland was represented by Zbigniew FloriaÅ„czyk, PhD, Eng. (Director’s Plenipotentiary for FSDN), who led the first discussion panel entitled “Calculating farm income and economic results in support of the CAP: achievements and milestones”. The meetings were also attended by employees of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute – Aleksandra Ruszczyk and Adam Smolik.
