27/10/2025On October 24, 2025, a meeting was held at the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute with Dr Namig Shalbuzov, an expert from the Agricultural Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The talks were attended by Dr Zbigniew FloriaÅ„czyk, Head of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department and Director’s Plenipotentiary for FSDN, Dr Agnieszka Wrzochalska, (IAFE-NRI Professor from the Department of Agricultural Economy, Agricultural Policy and Rural Development) and Dr MaÅ‚gorzata BuÅ‚kowska (Department of Agribusiness and Bioeconomy).
During the meeting, the possibilities for cooperation in the field of research, training, consulting, and the exchange of good practices were discussed. The functioning of the Farm Sustainability Data Network (FSDN) was also discussed, in particular the methodology, organization, and scope of data collection. The guest was particularly interested in issues related to the selection of the research sample, its representativeness, the number of people involved in the implementation of the Polish FSDN tasks, and potential forms of cooperation between institutions.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of monitoring the performance of agricultural holdings between Poland, a member of the European Union, and Azerbaijan, a member of the Eastern Partnership and the Council of Europe.
