On 8-10 May 2025, in Poznań European Congress on Renewal and Rural Development took place, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Developmentin cooperation with the Greater Poland Voivodeship government. The event was part of activities conducted as part of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council.
During the Congress, about 20 side events – conferences, workshops and panel discussions – were held with the participation of representatives of the European Commission and numerous experts from Poland and abroad.
The Congress was also attended by representatives of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – NRI. On the second day of the Congress, a panel discussion entitled “How to ensure effective cooperation and information flow between research institutes and practice? – Advisors and farmers as partners in defining needs,” was attended, among others, by FSDN representative, Head of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department, Zbigniew Floriańczyk.
The panel discussed the critical importance of effective communication between science and practice, as well as the role of agricultural advisors as liaisons between research institutions and farmers. The topic of identifying the real needs of farms and implementing innovative solutions tailored to local conditions was also discussed.
