On 17–18 September 2026, the 24th National Organisational and Training Workshop of the Polish FSDN was held in Paprotnia (Mazowieckie Voivodeship), with celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of agricultural accountancy in Poland. The event was organised by the Polish FSDN Liaison Agency (the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute IAFE–NRI).
The meeting brought together farmers cooperating with the Polish FSDN, representatives of regional agricultural advisory centres, employees of IAFE–NRI, and guests representing the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MRiRW), Statistics Poland (GUS), the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IRWiR PAN) and the Poznań University of Life Sciences.
The workshop program covered issues related to the directions of development of agricultural accounting for the purposes of agricultural policy and its role from the perspective of a regional coordinator. An important element of the event was a discussion panel devoted to the future of agricultural accounting from the perspective of Polish FSDN stakeholders, during which representatives of farmers, advisors and the scientific community exchanged experiences and views on the further development of the system.
The programme also included methodological consultations addressing current issues related to the operation of the Polish FSDN, providing an opportunity to discuss experiences from data collection and to exchange knowledge among participants.
The meeting in Paprotnia provided an opportunity to summarize the hundred-year-old achievements of agricultural accounting in Poland, as well as to exchange experiences and discuss its future. Particular attention was paid to the challenges facing the Polish FSDN and the importance of the system in providing reliable data used in economic analyses and agricultural policy-making.
