06/09/2026On 5–6 September 2026, the 35th National Agricultural Exhibition took place in Częstochowa alongside the National Jasna Góra Harvest Festival. The exhibition was organised by the Silesian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Częstochowa. The events were attended by, among others, the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Stefan Krajewski, the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Adam Nowak, as well as representatives of the agricultural sector.
The celebrations began on 4 September with a scientific conference held at the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. In the evening, an official inauguration ceremony took place at the Częstochowa Philharmonic Hall, during which the honorary distinction “Meritorious for Agriculture” and the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Cups were awarded.
Among the exhibitors was the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute (IAFE–NRI). The Institute was represented by its Director, Marek Wigier, PhD, DSc, Professor at IAFE–NRI, Zbigniew Floriańczyk, PhD Eng., Plenipotentiary of the Director for the Polish FSDN, Karol Sołek, PhD Eng., Ewa Sierakowska, MSc, and Krzysztof Kossakowski.
At the Institute’s stand, visitors could explore the Institute’s scientific achievements, including its publications and analytical studies, as well as learn more about the Polish FSDN (Farm Sustainability Data Network) system. They also had the opportunity to discuss developments in agricultural markets, the challenges facing modern agriculture, and the importance of agricultural accountancy with the Institute’s experts.
The programme included an exhibition of breeding animals, presentations of agricultural machinery, regional products, and the activities of institutions and enterprises associated with agriculture. The central event of the Sunday Jasna Góra Harvest Festival celebrations was the Harvest Festival Mass held on the Jasna Góra Meadows.
For many years, the event in Częstochowa has fulfilled a dual role: on the one hand, it cultivates the tradition of giving thanks for the harvest and showcases the achievements of Polish agriculture; on the other, it serves as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience between representatives of science and agricultural practice.
