On 25.02.2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s headquarters with representatives of the European Commission. The meeting was devoted to discussing the EC’s recommendations for Poland regarding the programming of agricultural support under the CAP after 2027. The meeting marked the beginning of a series of meetings aimed at agreeing on the preferred directions of support for agriculture under the CAP.
Among those in attendance were representatives of national institutions involved in preparing analyses and recommendations for the agricultural sector. Representing the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute (IAFE-NRI) were: Marcin Adamski and Zbigniew FloriaÅ„czyk, Head of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department and Plenipotentiary of the Director for FSDN, who presented a paper entitled “Income support in Polish agriculture – directions of interventions”.
The meeting discussed, among other things, the role of the Common Agricultural Policy in supporting farmers’ incomes, the competitiveness of farms and strengthening the position of farmers in the food chain.
The aim of the next thematic meetings with the EC will be an in-depth analysis of the key challenges related to programming agricultural support in the National and Regional Partnership Plan.
