A Polish FSDN study visit in Finland

On 18-19.11.2025, a study visit to Finland took place, the aim of which was to learn about the functioning of the Finnish FSDN system (Farm Sustainability Data Network), its organizational structure, IT solutions and methods of data collection also analysis in the context of the bioeconomy and CAP evaluation.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – NRI: Dr Marek Wigier, Prof. IAFE-NRI – Director of the Institute, Dr Adam Wasilewski, Dr Zbigniew FloriaÅ„czyk – Director’s Plenipotentiary for FSDN and Aleksandra Ruszczyk as well as experts from The Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).

During the visit, topics discussed included the development of IT and economic systems supporting FSDN data collection, planned improvements in data usage of farmers, process automation and integration with administrative databases. As well as measures to encourage farmers to participate in the system and upcoming challenges related to its implementation.
