Polish FSDN at the trade fair in Kościerzyn

On 28 September 2025, the exhibition grounds of the Łódź Branch of the Agricultural Advisory Centre (ŁODR) in Kościerzyn hosted the ‘Autumn in the Field and Garden – Kościerzyn Potato Day’ fair. The event aimed to promote modern solutions in agriculture and build a recognisable regional brand for potatoes from the Łódź Province, where potatoes are grown commercially on almost every farm.

The programme included presentations of modern potato cultivation machinery, demonstrations of plots with different potato varieties, and tastings of regional dishes prepared by the Rural Housewives’ Association.

The event was attended by Wanda Nowak, representative of the Agricultural Holdings Accountancy Department of the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute (IAFE-NRI) and auditor of the Polish FSDN. At the ŁODR promotional and information stand, she promoted the idea of the Farm Sustainability Data Network and, during discussions with farmers, discussed the benefits of agricultural accounting within the FSDN and the possibilities of joining the system.

The fair attracted numerous farmers, advisors, representatives of institutions and the local community. The meeting in Kościerzyn was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, popularise knowledge about sustainable agriculture and build relationships between farmers and institutions supporting rural development.
